The Susan Rice Controversy

The problem with this pseudo controversy over Benghazi and the way Republicans such as Sen. John McCain are railing against Susan Rice, the real issues are over shadowed. If Rice is nominated for Sec. of State, real discussion ought to be about qualifications, not whether she was right to continue the White House message in the hours following the Benghazi attack. Right or wrong, it probably isn't a big part of why she should be or shouldn't be in that position.

The other sad aspect is how much energy Republicans are giving to slamming someone who isn't even nominated. It would make me want to nominate her if I were the President. It is one thing to carry on a negative campaign against a nominee, and quite another thing to begin the mudslinging before the nomination is even made.
