Security to Risk

The power of confidence and self assurance is significant. I was thinking about this after spending time Christmas Day with a great niece (is that what they call a nephew's child?). She isn't around here much, but after a short time of shyness, she connected with each of us easily. Of course, her daddy brought her so she knew we were ok people, but she really seems assured that the world is a good place and she can act freely without fear.

Josh, Becca and all her backup parents who love her very much, have done her well so far and will give her the best gift of all to encourage her sense of safety and freedom to risk.
