Free Will

Free will is a difficult concept. If we truly have it then the paths of cause and effect are chaotic. God would have to either be less  than omniscient or uninvolved. He could not violate his own rule of human free will or he'd be taking it away. Consequently he couldn't know what we are going to do on the micro level, which leaves some uncertainty on the macro time scale.

Yet, if we don't have free will we don't have personal responsibility.

Maybe the solution is that there are no absolutes. We have some free will and are constantly buffeted by myriad causes working on us.

Our free will has to at least be limited by our limited abilities. As far as I know I cannot choose to travel faster than light.
