Emerging Profile

It is rewarding watching one's children express opinions and assert their points of view.

So when it was suggested on Facebook that welfare recipients should be drug tested, my oldest daughter argued these very rational points:

"I don't think people should have to take drug tests for welfare...  I also think companies shouldn't drug test either. We don't test people for gambling, sex, alcohol, or many other types of addictions. And even though those are all perfectly legal they are all as disruptive and as destructive as drug addictions."

"I don't mind giving to someone who abuses it if it means that I am also giving to someone who needs it."

You can't get more saintly than that.
